The 8th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Onco-Cardiology Society will be held on 25 and 26 October 2025 at the Senri Life Science Center, Toyonaka, Osaka.

Since the establishment of the Japanese Onco-Cardiology Society in October 2017, Onco-cardiology has been gaining attention as a new interdisciplinary field of research, and in 2023, the society published clinical practice guidelines. However, advances in cancer treatment are extremely rapid, and with the introduction of new therapeutic agents such as immune checkpoint inhibitors, new cardiovascular toxicities such as fulminant myocarditis are emerging. On the one hand, the evidence is accumulating. On the other hand, there are still many unknowns in anthracycline cardiomyopathy and cancer-related thrombosis, for which evidence is accumulating.

Therefore, we decided the theme of the 8th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Onco-Cardiology Society as "Continuity and Change". We expect that this meeting will be a place where experts in Onco-cardiology will discuss based on the latest information, while taking over the traditional relationship between cancer and the cardiovascular system, to make further development of this field. We have prepared a theme that will bring together not only physicians but also pharmacists, nurses and technicians to discuss Onco-cardiology.

In addition, for the first time, we are planning to hold a public lecture on "Late Complications in Cancer Survivors" with the participation of the general public and cancer patients. In this way, we hope to make this conference a success not only by academia, but also with healthcare companies, government, patients and the public at large.

We sincerely look forward to your warm support and cooperation as well as your participation.
